First thing this morning I met with Barbara Rimer, the Dean of the UNC School of Public Health, along with David Potenziani, Senior Associate Dean for Planning, Coordination and Administration. As you may know, the UNC School of Public Health is ranked as the top public school of public health in the nation. The Changing Nature of Marketing

This may have been obvious to the rest of you for some time, but for me it is a fairly recent revelation: the very nature of marketing is changing. There was a time, not so long ago, when marketers were primarily storytellers. Our job was to engage audiences with specific messages about brands, products or services. The 'Green' Marketing Wave

I am overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of marketers jumping on the 'green' bandwagon. These green ads and green promotions are everywhere. Everyone is trying to cash in on the movement. My local business journal now has a special 'green' edition. I received a postcard in today's mail promoting the green edition and will cynically mention that nowhere was it mentioned that the piece was printed on recycled paper. Hmmm, just how green are they?
